Haverbrack Country House is a luxury B&B retreat situated in the village of Beetham in the Arnside & Silverdale AONB on the edge of The Lake District. Set in three acres of beautifully maintained grounds, this Georgian country house now offers bed and breakfast for those looking for something a bit special on their visit to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.

Since the owners Angharad and Chris purchased the house in 2018, they’ve renovated it painstakingly restoring Georgian and Victorian period features throughout the property to transform it into a stunning retreat, with bespoke interiors and immaculate grounds with panoramic views.

Comprising of three luxurious and unique suites (Coniston, Ullswater and Grasmere) sleeping up to six guests, the accommodation can be booked individually or in combination for that special trip away.

Coniston Suite

Relax in your own self-contained suite comprising of lounge, bedroom with king size bed & ensuite bathroom offering the highest standards of comfort, luxury & attention to detail.

Ullswater Suite

This suite offers guests their own lounge, bedroom with double bed and ensuite bathroom in a distinctive Lakeland style with handcrafted furniture and bespoke soft furnishings.

Grasmere Suite

Enjoy this twin bedded room with ensuite bathroom and views overlooking the gardens. Guests have exclusive use of the downstairs snug where they can read or order a glass or wine or champagne before heading out for dinner.

The Grounds

Haverbrack Country House stands in three acres of beautiful grounds including several formal lawns as well as a wildflower meadow. The formal gardens can be enjoyed by guests and comprise of a croquet lawn, a hedged “secret” garden, a tropical area, beautiful flowering borders and gravel paths with magnificent copper beech, magnolia and Japanese maple trees.

In addition, the house has a wild meadow seeded with wild grasses, flowers and cut through paths. During the spring and summer months, guests can enjoy fresh cut flowers in their room and complementary tea and cake on arrival throughout the year.

The views from the grounds, particularly the southwestern side of the house by the driveway, are spectacular featuring rolling hills and fields and Haverbrack Lake, all situated within the Dallam Estate.

Windermere and Sedbergh are just a 25 minute drive away with Oxenholme Lake District Railway Station and direct fast trains from London just a 15 minute drive from Haverbrack and Manchester Airport for our international visitors one hour from our luxury retreat.

My wife and I had a great stay at Haverbrack. The house is in a brilliant location and The Lakes and Yorkshire Dales are really close by so you can enjoy lots that’s on offer. There’s also plenty going on in The Arnside & Silverdale AONB too including local walks as well as great food places in Arnside and walks on the beach.

The house has been lovingly restored and it’s a great place to come and relax. Nothing was too much trouble for us and we really enjoyed ourselves. The grounds are beautiful to explore and we made the most of our trip by sampling nearby Michelin-starred restaurants as well as the local pubs. Would thoroughly recommend Haverbrack and the area. It’s a special place to stay.
